I am bemused by Texas weather. That’s right… “bemused” is exactly the right word for it. Oh, I’ve lived here before, and experienced Texas weather before; but that was 30 years ago and the memories of it had begun to fade after 30 years of living in The Land of the Lotus Eaters, Lala Land, or whatever you want to call southern California. |

Gilligan moved into our new house back in October. We didn’t ask him in, and it was unplanned, but that did not seem to bother him any. It all started when we decided to repaint and recarpet my son’s room. |

Back in June of 2006, a couple of months after I arrived in Texas, I went to Walmart and bought a smallish (20") flat panel LCD television made by, of all people, Polaroid. I had no idea that that they even made TVs. Who knew? Anyway, I wanted a small TV for my apartment, and I figured that it would go nicely in my bedroom when The Annoyed Family joined me and we bought a house. |
